I found this 1944 Wheat Cent in Gibbs Dam Park, in Upper Arlington, Ohio. The penny is basically worthless and the only thing I found that day, with exception of a few pull tabs and a lug nut. The dam was built in the 1920's, so I was dissapointed that this penny was all that it produced. Perhaps another look is in order.
